one hot air balloon floats high up in the sky. captured in red embroidery stitches on a field of blue fabric. (it's got a slight green tint to it -- it's that blue color that's been pretty hip for the past couple of years. i still love it.)
the finished piece is framed within a very cool 6 inch diameter vintage wooden embroidery hoop. (look at that hoop hardware - it in an of itself is practically a piece of art!) this was a project that i did for an upcoming magazine/web feature - but now i'm offering it to you! (get it before it's famous!)
so - all money collected from the sale of this piece goes directly to charity. you see, my mother, who is 55 this year, took up biking three years ago and she does this grueling two-day bike ride event to raise money and awareness for research to find a cure for MS, a disease that has affected friends and colleagues of hers. i'm so proud of my mama for doing this, and i'd really like to help her to meet her goal. she's so close! if all of these little balloons sell, she'll make it! please feel free to email me if you have any questions!
